Since we reported the synthesis of the first spinlabeled imidazolide of phosphorus, i.e., (1-oxyl2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-piperidyl) diimidazole-1,1'phosphinate (1), in 1973 [1], we have extensively studied the synthetic potential of imidazolide 1 and related compounds.
